I so recognise this 'story'!! Tabby especially likes to bring in skinks (or geckoes?) and play with them. Lots of rescue missions. Sometimes the little skink seems quite dead - no movement - then put it down in the undergrowth and watch for a while and the little heart starts to beat. Wonderful moment!

I especially like that first photo - must have taken a bit of getting that one. Whose paw???

Actually, love all the photos. Poor little tail-less one...

R.Scruff :)

So it's a skink? I just call them lizards. I thought maybe it was pregnant, it seemed very fat.

Scruff kept losing it! Amber and I were holding hands and squealing hehe. But I still managed to take pics! We caught it in her lunchbox in the end.

I remember having pet ones and feeding them jam off my finger. Their little tongues and teeth tickled. :)

You're right - it could be pregnant Niki!

Gosh, I didn't realise they give birth to live babies- 6-9 of them! Scruff had it in her mouth, but even then there were no injuries.

The paw photo is my favourite too. Scruff was very gentle.

R.Scruff's full name is Rainbow Scruffles. We couldnt agree on a name so we used both. :) She has turned out to be a great wee hunter. Endless lizards and birds are brought in.
