hands down

Little Hand is sad.
Given half a chance, he'd dive down that hole, grow some feet and run away.

It must be awful to be always being chased and overtaken! Now there's a story!! Lovely photo.

:) On the student discussion board there's a Freelance Photography section. The February challenge is 'hands'. The tutor said students/graduates from the writing courses could contribute as well. It's great for the imagination. I posted Amber's 'hand' photo and he suggested that I crop in closer and blur to make it more 'emotional', since the caption was Touched by Love. I'm yet to post the clock hands on there for fear of dominating the whole board with my questions :O (considering I'm not doing the photography course!) I feel more relaxed in the photography part compared to the writing section. Those creative writers are just too fancy for me! haha

Post the clock hands! They're wonderful----and I'd bet your creative writing classmates are equally intimidated by you!

Way to go! Keep us posted about the response you get. Speaking of creative writers and the intimidation factor, I recently turned in my query letter for public review by a panel of agents and editors at a workshop for children's writers. Had I known they meant "ridicule," not "review," I never would have submitted it---BUT---I learned a lot and have since rewritten a much better query letter. The husband of one of the other participants who also had her letter butchered said, "Wow, if you can survive it, that's an awesome way to learn." Hope he's right. I'm turning in the revised version for another panel later in Feb. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good for you Niki. I wonder how many others (if any) thought of clock hands as opposed to human hands!!

Go Deb!! It is really hard to separate critical feedback from our own (fragile) self-esteem. But if we can do it - way to go!!!

Little hand man will have a lot of character from the clock he is from so will manage in the mad world where time does not stand still. :)
