kiwi summer

Yesterday was burning hot as I chaffed hay for horses. The heat under my mask, goggles and muffs was almost unbearable.

Today, goosies run along my arms and I wear woollie socks and a thermal. It's a beaut day for chaff cutting.

Yay for kiwi summers!

Goodness Whisk, how do you go to sleep that early? I'm a night owl. Not matter how tired I am, as soon as head hits the pillow...ping!...I'm wide awake :( So frustrating.

I won't go to sleep this early, but I am showered and in my jams. I'd like to be in bed, reading by no later than 9 or 10 tonight.

Been a very long work week. I'm on a 10 day in a row schedule and it takes a lot of energy to catch all those little Jimmy's.

I enjoyed the cold snap - almost cold enough for a fire!! And the rain - so good :-)

You must be a chaffing champion by now Niki. What about a photo of you in full gear with 'The Machine'???
