The kids spied this spider wrapping up her dinner.

She has the most beautiful body pattern.

Any ideas what she is?

That is cool. I don't know what kind of spider but I love those little, or not so little, creatures.

And thanks for the nice words about me doing a cookery book.

Found spider on the internet...she's a wheel-weaver.

That's a nice name - 'wheel-weaver'. Great photo. At first I couldn't see the spider at all - she is so well camouflaged! Do you think she is expecting - she is so big...

They do have a large abdomen but she does look extra big. Well I think it is a she. :) I got lots of pics of her wrapping the fly but they're all blurry.

Looks like the fly made a pretty darn good meal, as that.

Looking forward to more photos and blog posts. Great stuff.

Keep it coming.

Wow---beyond cool---so much to discover in this beautiful photo. Is the thing that looks like a mushroom her abdomen? And the frilly stuff around her, a lichen of some kind?
