Photo reminds me of an old children's fable about the tigers in the jungle spinning and melting into butter--remember Little Black Sambo? Fell into disfavor but I don't think the original story had the same racial intent that later scholars gave it. Still, if I mention the book, I have to acknowledge the controversy, so as not to appear insensitive! Jane, didn't you and I once share similar memories about this book?
