truck shed pigeons
In the hay shed next door lives several pigeons.
I love listening to them coo and watch them fly around our pine trees, wishing I could get close to one or two.
Well, now I can...
A gorgeous pair have decided to nest in our truck shed.
Aren't they just lovely?
Man-slave is furious and plans to evict them.
But...you know...Yeah Right!
So anyway, the pigeons are quite used to me now and they performed beautifully for their first photo shoot.
Not sure if there are any eggs yet. But I will endeavor to find out.
I thought it unusual for birds, other than chooks, to lay eggs in autumn, but apparently pigeons will lay at anytime if the food supply is good.
Yay!

Look at that colour!! Lucky you :-) Why does PG want to evict them?? Squatters. I suppose they will poo over everything...
The poo and he reckons next year there will be twice as many. :)))
Well, if these two are smart they'll keep the secret to themselves - or rent out spaces at exorbitant prices!!!
Hmmm, this morning there was another male perched outside their nest area. He took flight when I turned up.
Quite different than our pigeons. Orange eyes!
Yes Jane .. they poop (have already noticed some on the bonnet of wee tractor which eats into the paint) and breed. Too many feathers here now and will get worse. :-{
Ha ha---poop and breed---life is good in the tractor shed. Beware of PG, Orange Eyes!
The same could be said about you, PG...poop and breed!! haa haa :)
Looks perfectly colorful! Awesome!
